To campaign, through the Disabled People’s Movement locally, nationally and internationally, for all Disabled People’s human and civil rights.
To use the social model of disability to underpin all of our activities.
To promote the full inclusion of Disabled People.
To be a county-wide, democratic organisation run and controlled by Disabled People.
To represent the views and aspirations of those Disabled People living in Hampshire who agree with our vision.
To be recognised as a body to be properly consulted at all times on Disabled People’s issues.
To promote HCODP through a variety of means
To build a strong, active and informed membership, who agree with the social model of disability, enabling HCODP to achieve its aims.
To involve and include HCODP members in all aspects of the Organisation and create a sense of belonging.
To empower Disabled People to achieve their personal ambitions.
To implement an action plan for the 12 rights of Disabled People.
To ensure all activities of HCODP are underpinned by the 12 rights of Disabled People and are relevant and accessible.
To particularly encourage young Disabled People to be involved in the Organisation.
To practice what we preach, model what we seek to achieve, recognise we are fallible and be honest about our mistakes.
To regularly review HCODP's vision, aims, objectives and stategic/business plan.
To encourage the participation of Disabled People from groups currently under-represented in HCODP.
To be non-party political.
