Changing the size of the text
You can enlarge the text as displayed in your browser by following the
instructions below;
- Select the "View" menu at the top of your screen
- From this menu select the "Text Size" option, this will
display an extended menu to the side
- From the extended menu you can either select "Largest",
"Larger", "Medium", "Smaller" or
"Smallest"
Changing the style of the text
When you visit a website it may not be written in a style you find easy to
read. On many sites it is possible to override the style displayed with your preferred
choice, this can be done by following the instructions below;
- Select the "Tools" menu at the top of your screen
- From this menu select the "Internet Options" option, this will
display a dialog box
- Under the "General" category select the "Fonts"
option, this will display another dialog box
- Select the style of font you wish to view web pages in from the box on the
left
- Select the "OK" button twice to confirm your choice
Changing the text and background colours
When you visit a website it may not have a contrast of background to text
that you find easy to read. It is possible to change the background or text
colours to suit your requirements, this can be done by following the
instructions below;
- Select the "Tools" menu at the top of your screen
- From this menu select the "Internet Options" option, this will
display a dialog box
- Under the "General" category select the "Colors"
option, this will display another dialog box
- Ensure the "Use Windows Colors" box is deselected
- Selecting the colour patch to the right of either "Text" or
"Background" will display a colour chart
- Select the colour you require by clicking on the colour patch
- Select the "OK" button three times to confirm your choice.
